There are millions of dollars spent on finding cures for cancer, leukemia and other diseases. Yet, one wonders why we don't see commercials or ads for domestic violence which can also lead to death. Domestic violence does not differentiate between social, economic, racial or gender classes. It does not choose between the young or the old. There is no pharmaceutical cure and none that anyone is looking for.
Our children are growing up in homes where they are afraid every day. Some go to school and bully because they see their parents fighting and to release their agression pick on the first vulnerable child they see. Some grow up to become delinquents because that is the only thing they have seen all of their lives. We need to do something to break the chain of violence. If we were to address this issue, crime would decrease. Respect would return. Education needs to start in our classrooms. Children at the age of 7-8 need to be taught correct touching in school. We cannot wait to teach this to our teens as they are growing up way too early. Please go to your local Politician or School Superintendent and express your desire to see a change.

Tina's Fund is looking for teens to join our Organization as volunteers to help at our events. We will keep a log of hours volunteered from September through June and the 2 students who put in the most hours will each receive a $500 scholarship to be used at a college of their choice. Contact us at (609) 721-3078 for more information.
